For the price these are good earbuds and far superior to the kind that do not have an over the ear loop. If budget allows, I would highly recommend Bose products for anyone with hearing challenges. I have a set of Bose Hearphones that have been priceless to me. They have discontinued them but I understand they will have a new model this summer. Pricey, but priceless, and far less than hearing aids which I personally can not tolerate. These are my backup pair and for a backup I am happy with them, especially because of the ability to change noise cancelling not only on or off, but the additional 'Be Aware' setting that allows outside sound to flow through when you need to hear your surroundings. With the foam tips, they effectively block outside sound. Be Aware makes them safe if I'm walking dogs or on a bike ride and need to hear what is around me.
